Today is the first day of the Season of Lent. Are you giving anything up for the next 40 days?
Yup. Catholicism.
Ba-dum-dum!
What's your favorite winter activity?
I'd have to go with "living in Florida."
There are only five shopping days left before Christmas... Who do you still need to buy presents for this year?
Okay, just to make a nitpicky point here...exactly what the hell is a "shopping day?" Aren't we, sociatally, at a point where there is no such thing as a non-shopping day? Stores are pretty much open every day, if you don't care too much where you shop. I've literally gone Christmas shopping ON CHRISTMAS MORNING at CVS, so don't tell me it can't be done, 'cause it totally can.
They're just "days," now, okay? We don't need to say "shopping day" in the same way we don't need to say "ink pen." It's a pen. Almost by definition we know it uses ink. It's a day. Hell, it's an evening, I don't care. We know we can shop on it.

I'm done! :) Did the majority and last of it at Barnes & Noble last night (ironically, I purchased not one single book). Now there is but wrapping and giving to do.
What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Anything you're not so fond of?
I like going to BEST BUY for the Black Friday sales. On Thanksgiving itself, though, I like to watch football on the tv I got at BEST BUY, while the turkey cooks to perfection in my BEST BUY roasting pan, and occasionally dance around to the music on my BEST BUY mp3 player.
Oh, wait. This one's not sponsored by BEST BUY. Which means I just name-dropped BEST BUY six times for nothing. I should get a check for that or something.
What single event changed your view of the world for the better or for the worse?
Submitted by iASHLEY.I don't quite understand the question. EVERY event that passes through my awareness changes the way I view the world.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you wouldn't fail?
Submitted by Beautifully Broken
Mmph. There's already nothing I wouldn't try, based on the possibility that I *might* fail, so this isn't a question I have a good answer for.
If they made it financially feasible to travel into space, would you do it?
Hell yes. Who would say no to that?
Tina Fey and the SNL writing team have been having a field day with Sarah Palin. Rumor has it that Palin may make a guest appearance on the show, do you think that is a good idea?
Well, in answer to that, allow me to post the relevant portion of Sarah Palin's interview with Charlie Gibson, where they talk candidly about that very topic.
*****
PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you, except obviously for Herbert Humphrey. But, Charlie, again, we're got to remember what the desire is in this nation at this time. It is for no more comedy as usual and Darrell Hammond's big, fat resume maybe that shows decades and decades in that New York institution, where, yes, they've had the opportunity to perfect a variety of southern accents... these last couple of weeks... it has been overwhelming to me that confirmation of the message that Americans are getting sick and tired of that gentle southern accent that has been the Washington Standard. John McCain's and my vocal mannerisms are mavericks, Charlie.
It's possible that airlines may soon allow cell phone use during flight. Are you for or against in-flight cell phone use?
Veryveryveryveryvery much against. Like, can't even tell you how against. Look, flying is a bad enough experience without having to listen to 139 people yelling into their phones.
Do you have any crazy superstitions?
Oi! MY superstitions aren't crazy! Yours might be, but there are good reasons for what I do. :)
